TIBERI BAR

Tiberi Bar, a bar to make you feel at home

One day you will have a bar.
A loan to pay, a motorbike to fix, a lifelong friend to call.
A problem to solve, one (or several) habits to sort out, a crush to forget.

But, one day as well
you’ll have a bar.
And this bar
will be yours too.

These words, which were used to inaugurate the Tiberi Bar perfectly capture the essence behind the design of this new space: “a bar to feel at home”.  Being the result of the collaboration between the creative approach of Tiberi Club and the architectural vision of h3o, Tiberi Bar has a contemporary aesthetics that merges the comfort of Nordic hygge with the well-known Barcelona tradition of interior design. The result is the combination of the domestic sobriety of Northern Europe with a touch of “canallismo” typical of Poble Sec, the neighbourhood where it is located.

The softness or the aesthetics of the cloud

El Tiberi Bar immerses its visitors in an ethereal and luminous atmosphere, plunging them into a spatial experience of a vaporous cloud. The cotton projected on the ceiling, the white painted wood floors, the original brick walls, and the velvet curtains are the key to achieve this sensation of visual lightness through the combination of light, soft and textured materials of contrasted pale and dark colours.

Lights and reflections

Lighting plays a key role in creating diverse and changing atmospheres throughout the opening hours of the bar.  During the day, light from outside comes in through the large openings in the façade, flooding the bar with light. When the night comes, a constellation of lamps of different intensities at various heights is switch on. From the stainless steel cones above the bar counter, to the dimmable prism that illuminates the large wooden table for large groups of friends, to the ceiling lights, everything creates a warm and cosy domestic atmosphere at night.

And light is just as important as its reflections. Strategically placed mirrors create a play of glances and reflected light, turning the bar into a place for meeting and flirting, a fun corner for socialising amidst a melting pot of crossed views and bounced rays of light.

A gigantic door and a croissant table

Two specially designed elements add uniqueness to the design of the Tiberi Bar: the entrance door and the central table. The tall green entrance door, topped by a pointed arch with Gothic reminiscences, allows the street to merge with the interior thanks to its multiple opening configurations. The central pillar, structural and clad with mirrors that make it disappear, is pierced by a marble with croissant shape, adding a touch of sophistication and inducing both standing sociability and random encounters among guests.

Excuse me, where is the bathroom?

Behind a curtain, upstairs, you’ll find a dark red corridor…
